Zodiac (2007)

Love how the movie poster matches the color of this month.

I have been wanting to watch this movie, not just because I live in the Bay Area, but also like half of the Marvel cast is in it. It's based on the author of the Zodiac book, during the events of said murder spree. And as of when I'm writing this, THE LAST CODE HAS BEEN CRACKED?! Like, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS HAPPENING IN 2020? Also, he just says he's got enough slaves in heaven now do die if he is caught and sent to death. What a man.

The movie did a great job, showing this cartoon artist spiral into a frenzy of obsession towards this one subject. He borderlines strives to crack the code on who the Zodiac is, as he covers with "I'm just writing a book". Even though the case is still open as of today, the movie does settle with one of the most likely suspects.

Overall:

Rating: R

Length: 2h 37min

Genre: Crime, Drama, Mystery

Directed by: David Fincher

I sometimes look out the window with the suspicion someone will be staring back at me.

Here's something unexpected; I watched a documentary?

This is a documentary based on a nice white family that turns sour. As the mother is often on facebook, the decline of said family was clearly visible, yet still the red flags evaded most of the family's friends. What was laying dormant in the father's soul was not something pretty, as he desired a fresh start in life.

In theme of spooky season, why not another serial killer? It was interesting how they told the case in the way the media discovered the true culprit of the missing family. We were all first introduced to a helpless man who just wanted his family to come back. But slowly, the layers of the onion peeled back to see how rotten this case was.

Rating: TV-MA

Length: 1h 22min
